Why midlife coaching for couples?
Simply because a woman's menopause can have a significant impact on the relationship. And men also go through andropause, although usually much later and less intensively.
The relationship between two people is generally a complex interplay that can be shaken by unilateral crises or changes. Men may feel insecure and even restricted by their partner's menopausal symptoms. Women, on the other hand, have to deal with physical and emotional tensions such as fatigue, sexual reluctance, or feelings of inferiority, while trying to mitigate the effects on the relationship.
What you can count on:
I help menopausal couples better understand their partner's physical and emotional changes. We work together to develop strategies for dealing constructively with the challenges and for strengthening each other. We also work on existing conflicts. Couples learn to identify potential areas of conflict and how to avoid them. Together they take stock and look to the future.
Menopause is also a time of farewells, but it is also a time of opportunities and new freedoms in a relationship. As a coach, I see myself as a bridge builder between the gender, helping couples emerge from this phase of life renewed and connected. My coaching style reflects my personal belief that the quality of our lives depends on the quality of our relationships. Your relationship with your partner plays an essential role in this.
